Partnerships Manager, HSBC Fintech


 

As an integral part of the team, the Partnership team will be tasked with developing and deepening external partnerships which will enrich proposition offerings, enhance efficiency and variety of our client activation activities, create new branding opportunities and create new client growth avenues. This role will fulfill aforementioned with a focus on lifestyle partnerships, and will be required to:

  • Have a clear understanding of Pan-China WPB client business objectives, growth drivers and pain points
  • Develop deep understanding of differentiated client needs, pain points, objections across GPB, Pinnacle, and Premier in order to have sufficient insight to identify opportunities and gaps in lifestyle offerings which will truly delight and transform client experience
  • Work with research teams to have up-to-date understanding of competitor offerings and key selling points, and ensure HSBC’s lifestyle offerings and partners continue to stand out and truly differentiate vs competitors
  • Have a strong network of external lifestyle partners, with a deep understanding of strengths and weaknesses of different providers
  • Think out-of-the-box for win-win strategies with our partners, maximizing benefits across new services, client acquisition avenues, client engagement and branding while minimising cost
  • Work with and onboard appropriate lifestyle partners and ensure delivery against agreed SLAs and journey designs
  • Partner closely with creative, client activation, and media teams to jointly develop an effective packaging, communication and marketing plan of lifestyle offerings
  • Work with frontline enablement team to ensure clear and effective frontline training and upskilling on international proposition
  • Post implementation, review results from data (client behaviours and commercial outcomes), frontline and client feedback to understand effectiveness and future enhancement opportunity
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Competency and experience in proposition design, insights, digital and marketing
  • Good understanding of the China financial industry and consumer behavior
  • Customer-focused; results-oriented; ability to deliver within deadlines
  • Relevant experience in sales & distribution within HSBC
  • Solid leadership and creativity, with a clear commercial focus (proactively pursuing new business opportunities)
  • Ability to deliver senior management-ready materials
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibly when managing shifting or competing priorities
  • Proven ability to build good relationships across stakeholder groups
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Solid analytical and presentation skills
  • Energetic, positive attitude and team player
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • Experience in financial institution preferred
