Specialist IT Infrastructure [Bahrain]


 
General Information:
Support day-to-day operational standards of the service infrastructure, including all hardware and software required to operate and support the service portfolios in stc Bahrain and manage operation to ensure the stable operation of the IT Operations.

Job specification

Participate in the achievement of the Section’s objectives by performing and supporting various design and implementation related activities.

Support mediation between various parties to ensure that IT plans are aligned to commercial expectations and that capacity requirements are supported;

Set priorities for the design, maintenance, development and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LAN’s, WAN’s, internet, intranet, wireless implementation and so on.

Review and study the selected vendor LAN/WAN and communication software and hardware products to determine those that meet stc Bahrain’s needs.

Monitor performance of network and servers to identify potential problems and bottlenecks and act proactively with the help of MS technical experts

Support email, web and remote access to customer sites where IP Contact Centre (IPCC) and other Call Centre applications are deployed

Apply knowledge of Cisco IP Telephony applications including Cisco CVP/ICM (Cisco Voice Portal/Intelligent Contact Manager) Enterprise call routing, Cisco IPCC (IP Contact Centre), VXML (Voice Extensible Markup Language) Gateways

Participate, as a key member of the IT team, supporting, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of core LAN/WAN services required for VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) deployments including QOS (Quality of Service), COS (Class Of Service) VLANs (Virtual Local Area Network), Clients (Session Border Controller) and SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) Carrier Services.

Monitor network alert and performance management tool output and provides input on the capacity and resiliency of the UCC (Unified Call Center) portion of the VoIP network

Act as a focal point for large account Network & Contact Center/IPCC problem resolution

Conduct pro-active maintenance of environments through Operational health checks, trend analysis and reporting.

Perform other duties as requested.Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or any other related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure
